History for Homeschoolers

General Information

How long is the program?

The History for Homeschoolers program runs once a month from September to May. Students may participate in some or all of the classes. The timing of the class is dependent on the option chosen.

What ages are recommended to participate?

The classes are recommended for children ages 7 to 12.

What material is covered during the program?

Each History for Homeschooler's session includes history-related activities that focus on the month's theme.  See below for more specific information about the topics covered. Some activities involve reading and writing. Feel free to communicate any supports that your child may benefit from receiving so that we can work towards creating a positive learning environment.

Do I have to pre-register for the program?

Pre-registration is REQUIRED for in-person and virtual classes because space is limited. Click on the option that works best for your family to find the registration link.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Please notify VHS educational staff at least 24 hours in advance of a class to receive a refund for that session.
