History Kits
in the Classroom and Beyond
History evolves. So should our kits.
Our History Kits haven't had a full update in nearly 2 decades. In response, we're currently assessing and redesigning the kits to bring them up to date with modern formats and the latest research. In the meantime, three kits will remain available for rent this fall:
- Schooling in Early Vermont
- Vermont in the Revolutionary War
- Village Life in Early Vermont
We appreciate your patience as we work to bring you a refreshed and improved collection.

Kit Rental - $30.00
Another change is that we are no longer shipping kits for the time being.
In the meantime, kits will be available for pick-up at the Vermont History Center at 60 Washington Street, Barre, VT 05641. Pick-up hours are between 9:00AM and 4:00PM, Tuesday-Friday. If someone else will be picking up the kits, please include their contact information in the History Kit Reservation Request form below.
